| Vermont: This
is a beautiful, scenic state if you like hills and mountains and lots of
trees. I cut across the northeast corner of the state on I.93 once,
but only have one photo to verify that. I had delivered a few loads
to Brattleboro, in the southeast corner of Vermont, but that usually took
place at night. On a few occasions, however, I took shortcuts
across Vermont and New Hampshire from Maine to New York State and was able
to observe areas away from the interstates. I remember many small towns,
fishing and hunting camps and lodges, recreational lakes. Since I
made these earlier comments, I have been to Vermont many times: to Ludlow
(interior doors), North Springfield (exterior doors), White River Junction
(bottled drinks), Florence (calcium carbonate products), and Burlington
for I forget what. Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, a Vermont company, has
signs and outlets all over the state. For the first time, I saw city
buses with bicycle racks on the front so bike riders could hop a bus to
get through town. |
